Why are my iPhone photos HEIC?

iPhones save photos as HEIC to take up less space. It is a newer format, so older software and some websites cannot open it yet, which is why people convert it.

Will I lose quality?

JPG files are a little smaller and the difference is hard to see. PNG keeps every pixel exactly as it was, at the cost of a bigger file.

My files are HEIF, not HEIC. Will they work?

Yes. HEIC is the photo version of HEIF, and this tool accepts both.
